This is the current list of servers available. Generally speaking, you want to use the server that is closest to you, or if you are an advanced user using an IRC bouncer, the server closest to the bouncer.

Note: Certificates issued by Let's Encrypt are used, so you should not need to verify the fingerprints separately. They are included here for your convenience.

All servers support IPv4 and IPv6.

All servers support port 6667 (for standard connections) and 6697 (for SSL connections).

Generally speaking, you want to use SSL whenever possible. The most important advantage is that when you authenticate, your password is encrypted when sent to the server. It will also mean private messages to others will also be encrypted, if the other user is also using an encrypted connection.

The earliest supported SSL/encryption protocol is TLS v1.0. Your IRC client must support TLS v1.0 or later in order to connect via SSL. Virtually all IRC clients will support this.
